Before we get into the pics, we would like to share these interesting letters with you.

Shelagh made these fabulous Gore-Tex® cycle suits using Controlled Exposure Pants and a custom jacket pattern. They worked great in rainy UK weather!

Nancy’s checking out the Gnome Home in Orangeville, Ontario in her 3-ply Gore-Tex® Storm Mountain #52 rain gear. She has just returned from her golf match, and is still sporting the matching golf tote!

Nathan sports his adapted Kwik Sew #2336 Aquashell® wetsuit (the shoulder velcro and front/ankle zips are extras) during a canoe trip to Hudson River, NY which his mammy Jeannine sewed for his trip!

Landon is wearing his ski jacket made from Jalie 2008 from Gore-Tex® and Cordura® with Polartec® 200 Fleece lining. This photo was taken in my back yard in August after we bribed him with candy to put it on in 28-degree weather!

Kate’s husband in Nova Scotia is wearing a modified Kwik Sew jacket made from Ultrex® and Jalie zip-off pants made from Commander.

The annual Kelly family hike up to the Skyline Trail in Jasper was made more comfortable wearing Storm Mountain #18 Healy Pass Hiking Pants made from Supplex® Nylon; Polartec® socks kept their feet warm and dry!

Vicki sent this “igloo” message from all the skating daughters in Ellenton, FL (not Alaska) who love their Polartec® 200 fleece jackets with YKK zippers - “... and thanks for all the great sewing advice!”

No weather can keep us inside now, armored in Gore-Tex® and trimmed in reflective tape. Haydon, Kate and Sandy can play outside in Altona, Manitoba. Storm Mountain#15 & #208 are staple patterns in our house!

Mary used a combination of Storm Mountain patterns to make a one-of-a-kind jacket for travelling around Alberta from October to April. She used Pertex™ and Thinsulate™ Lite
Loft™ to give real multi-season versatility... and it packs down to nothing!

Claudette and Chuck at the Val Cartier World Masters Xcountry Ski Championships. They’re wearing Team Loki Racing Warm-ups that Kate made of Polartec® Powerstretch® and Supplex® Nylon from Storm Mountain Patterns.
Be safe, Be seen, Stay alive!
“I was thrilled to make our son an anorak winter jacket, but I had no idea that putting Scotchlite™ Reflective Tape would save his life! One of our employees was asked to lock the door after my husband left the building. It was winter, about 6:30 PM. My husband was backing up in our cargo van when he saw the reflective tape in the side mirror right next to the van. It was our 18-month old son! The employee had neglected to lock the door and our son thankfully had put his coat on and pushed his way out two glass doors and was running to catch his daddy in the van. That little piece of Scotchlite™ Reflective Tape did what I hoped it would NEVER have to do – IT SAVED HIS LIFE!! I was grateful I had taken the time to sew that little 6” piece of reflective tape -- that cost less than a dollar -- onto his coat. I think all coats should have reflective tape on them!

Regards, Karen G, Ontario

Deep River, Ontario celebrates the August long weekend with a Summerfest celebration every year. To help decorate downtown, Danielle was hired to make these doubleside lamp post flags out of medium-weight coated nylon.

Kate R. sewed this HEAVY training vest for the Calgary Police Fitness training unit out of Cordura®.

Eve D. proudly displays FF. Heartbreaker Dakota wearing his Polartec® coat under his Cotton Canvas coat from a Suitability pattern (SA7606).

Kate’s children and their friends are ready for a comfy day of fun in their Polartec® vests made from Stretch & Sew #196.

Kathryn and a friend made their kayaks and then sewed up covers to protect them while in transport or storage. The Sunbrella® fabric provide water and UV protection! The bags make for easier movement of kayaks!

Lelia, age 7 weeks, is protected from the sun at Butterfly Lake, BC in her sunhat made from Solarweave® fabric.
